This years Summer Carnival was held on the 9th August on the Village Green where scrummy cakes and cream teas were appreciated by all. Carnival judging began at 6.45pm which should have been followed by a procession around the Village led by St Pinnock Town Band. However, Monsoon conditions dictated otherwise. Despite the atrocious weather, masses of people turned out to participate and spectate. everyone grateful for the shelter provided by the new marquee.

The weather was kinder for the Raft racing on Sunday. Three crack teams put much effort into costumes and paddling but the 'Gentlemens' craft, with its gracefull lines and low resistance easily won the day.
