Whats Going On?

This years Summer Carnival was held on the 9th August on the Village
Green where scrummy cakes and cream teas were appreciated by all.
Carnival judging began at 6.45pm which should have been followed by
a procession around the Village led by St Pinnock Town Band. However,
Monsoon conditions dictated otherwise.
Despite the atrocious weather, masses of people turned out to participate
and spectate. everyone grateful for the shelter provided by the new  marquee.

Taking home the silver. Jack and Meg Elworthy
Prizegiving.
Stewards inspect the course. Going is heavy but the Jockey looks unconvinced.

Cool Kernow.  Sans sporran.

The weather was kinder for the Raft racing on Sunday. Three crack teams put much effort into costumes and paddling but the 'Gentlemens' craft, with its gracefull lines and low resistance easily won the day.
Faultless coordinated paddling by the ladies.
The Winners.
Most of the School team had built in boyancy.
