The weather during the Carnival this year was quite grotty! However, compared to last year it was fantastic; grey & overcast but generally dry.
We all had a super time though: the sports were well and enthusiastically attended; the work which went into the costumes for the dressing up section was astonishing, the village looked super in its new and fresh bunting and we were well entertained by the St Pinnock Brass band.
The raft race on the Sunday proved to be highly competitive. (Photos please!) The winning team from the Fisherman’s Arms had obviously put much work into their sturdy and streamlined craft. Some of the other entries may need a little more work for next year.
Fairy Football proved to be as entertaining as ever and big thanks is due to Pete plasterer for laying it on. Somewhat surprisingly no broken bones were reported.
During the whole week the team at the Fisherman’s toiled endlessly to provide us with entertainment, food, music and lashings of interesting beer. They also organised some additional water sports on the Bank Holiday Sunday and much work went into designing and building some interesting craft. (Photos Please!)
